I was outside with my new Sigma 70-300 APO DG. This was the first time I had really used it to it’s fullest extend in macro mode.

Some thoughts on the lens:

* Great Range, I like it for some landscape and will do well for portrait photography.
* IMPOSSIBLE to use without a tripod in macro mode, you need all the light and sharpness you can get
* First time I’ve ever got a good shot of the moon.
* I like the aperature ring, so I can use it on my ancient Nikon FG
* Kinda heavy, but understandable.
* Don’t even dare to take a picture within 45 degrees to the sun. Holy abhorations batman.
